I thoroughly enjoyed listening to a Theology Network podcast conversation about C.H. Spurgeon as I was driving today. Check it out.
If that gets you interested in getting to know him better Arnold Dallimore's Spurgeon: A New Biography is really encouraging.
Spurgeon is endlessly quotable, but I have always liked this on anxiety:
"Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, but only empties today of its strength"
(Don't you just love this smiling picture of him? I didn't think they smiled for portraits back in the mid 1800's. His joy in Jesus couldn't be contained)
